last day

Dear Finn,

Today we celebrated your last days of kindergarten. You were so excited to get dressed up, insisting on buttoning your own dress shirt, threading and buckling your own belt, and putting on your own tie. I can't believe how fast this year has gone, and how much you have grown. You can read Harry Potter on your own, and often quiz me on addition and multiplication. You have learned to be a good friend, and to consider the feelings of others. Your teachers say you are kind, patient, cheerful, and never complain.

At your commencement ceremony you told us that you want to be an artist when you grow up. But I know you also love math and science. You are always thinking and creating intricate plans, machines, and stories. I can't wait to see how your interests develop.

I am proud of you and all the work you've done this year.

Love,

Your Mama
